Slow, fascial manipulation is performed to calm the muscles of mastication (chewing) and release tension and pain. Depending on the length of the session, specific work is done inside the mouth (intra-oral), head, neck, and shoulders. Adjustments can always be made depending on what the client presents with that day.
Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy tunes into the nervous system and the fascial networks within the body to help facilitate the release of tension throughout the body. Stored tension can be a result of an accident, repetitive motion, emotional dysregulation, or traumatic events. By listening to the nervous system, the sympathetic nervous system and the muscles associated with "fight or flight" response can release and create a more calm and relaxed state.
